Alliance members are encouraged annually to enter into competition for the "CEO of the Year" and "Hospital of the Year" competitions. The winners are recognized at the annual fall conference, in GACH publications and locally in the media. Details on participating in the competitions are below.

We are proud to announce the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals' (GACH) Hospital of the Year competition.
The 2009 Hospital of the Year competition is designed to highlight human-interest stories that help demonstrate the many ways in which Alliance hospitals touch individuals and improve the quality of life in their communities.
Key program criteria include:
As in previous years, our intention is to secure as many diverse and innovative entries as possible. So, you have the latitude to submit entries for programs that do not meet all of the aforementioned criteria.
Winners and runners-up will be profiled online, featured in the GACH Year in Review, receive monetary donations and be celebrated at the 2009 Annual Conference October 14 -16 at Callaway Gardens.
We hope you will participate in this important competition and look forward to seeing you at the 2009 Annual Conference.

- Supporting major economic development initiatives;
- Supporting major quality-of-life initiatives;
- Providing extraordinary community benefits;
- Enhance or expand critical health care services to the hospital's community or service area.
