Rome Internal Medicine Joins Floyd Primary Care Network

Rome Internal Medicine is now affiliated with the Floyd Primary Care Network.
The offices of Joseph N. Herren, M.D., Gregory M. Rogers, M.D., and Armando Montaña, PA-C, MPAS, will remain at 123 Three Rivers Drive. Rome Internal Medicine will continue to see patients who are admitted to Floyd Medical Center and Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Herren earned his medical doctorate from the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta. He completed his residency and an internship in internal medicine also at the medical college. In addition, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology with honors from Columbus College. A diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Herren has nearly 30 years of experience practicing internal medicine. Members of Oak Hill Church of Christ, he and his wife, Gloria, reside in Rome and have five children.

Dr. Rogers earned his medical doctorate with distinction from the University of Kentucky, Lexington. He completed an internal medicine residency, as well as a family practice residency at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He also completed an internship in general surgery at Shands HealthCare in Gainesville, Fla., an affiliate of the University of Florida. In addition, he earned his bachelor’s degree in general studies from the University of Kentucky. A member of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Rogers has over 22 years of experience practicing internal medicine. He and his wife, Julie, have three children.

Mr. Montaña earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree, with a concentration on internal medicine, from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha. He earned a bachelor’s degree and completed the Physician Assistant program at the University of Florida, Gainesville. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Sciences and Pre-Medicine from Campbell University, Bouies Creek, N.C. He attended the Naval Hospital Corps School in the Great Lakes, Illinois and served in the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman. In addition, he earned an associate degree in nursing from Floyd College. A fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and member of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants, Mr. Montaña has over 16 years of experience. He and his wife, Patricia, have three children. They reside in Silver Creek and attend St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
